Easy Come, Easy Go
The musical, Easy Come Easy Go, was Presley’s 23rd film and was released in 1967. It features Elvis as Ted Jackson, a former Navy frogman and a nightclub singer. On a deep-sea dive, Jackson finds a treasure chest, which he hopes is full of gold. He retrieves the chest, which turns out to be full of copper rather than gold. In the film, he donates the money to help build an art center for co-star Dodie Marshall’s character, Jo Symington. As a devoted fan, this may remind you of the real-life acts of generosity Elvis is famous for.
Fun fact – watch for the scene in Easy Come Easy Go where character Jo Symington gets into Elvis’ car dressed in an orange blouse but gets out wearing a white top and striped jacket.
