Own a Northwest Territory Re-Enactment Letter

In 1937, a group re-enacted the December 1787 journey taken by a group of Revolutionary War veterans from Peabody, Massachusetts, to Marrietta, Ohio (800 miles) to establish the first settlement in the Ohio Territory.  The re-enactment group used portable printing equipment during their 4-month trip to send letters to subscribers along their journey.

You will receive one letter from a collection assembled by subscriber Art Colvin in Sherburn, Minnesota.  The letter is unfolded in a clear plastic sleeve.  It is cancelled stampless with "Official Business, Penalty for Private Use To Avoid Payment of Postage $300," with drawn cachet commemorating the Northwest Territory Celebration and remnants of the wax seal used in the 18th-century that they used for the re-enactment.  Only 44 available!  Get yours now.
