1857 3¢ dull red Washington Type III single used by sock-on-the-nose blue green five-pointed star fancy cancel.  Accompanying blue green March 23, Danvers Centre, Massachusetts, circular date stamp cancel on cover to Methuen, Massachusetts.  A wonderful piece of 3¢ 1857-61 Issue postal history featuring a color fancy cancel and the scarce Danvers Centre, MA, circular date stamp cancel.
