UN256-57 – 1975 Peaceful Uses of Space

In 1958, the U.N. Secretary-General called on all nations to agree not to claim territory in outer space.  In 1963, the General Assembly declared that outer space should benefit all people.  In 1967, over 90 countries signed a treaty reflecting these aims.
