UN77-78 – 1960 Palais de Chaillot, Paris

This is where full meetings of the U.N. General Assembly took place in 1948 and  1951.  The Palais de Chaillot dates from the International Exposition of 1937.  Located on the Right Bank of the Seine, it houses several museums and a National Theater.  There is a splendid view of Paris from its terrace, and it is a popular place for photographs by tourists.
