1st Bureau Issue 3¢ purple Jackson single on 2¢ entire cover.  July 3rd, 1902, Johnstown, New York, duplex cancels.  Cover with Aden, Arabia (present-day Yemen, but in 1902, the city was under British control) receiving backstamp.  The recipient, William H. Lockerman, was the U.S. Vice Consul in Aden in 1902.  An exceedingly rare destination in 1st Bureau Issue postal history.
